Robert McMurrer

Robert Lawrence McMurrer was born on June 1, 1981 in Indianapolis, Indiana as Bobby William Shelton and had a hard life from day one. He was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck almost chocking him to death. When Robert was two years old his parents got a divorce and Robert was sent to live with his biological father who was William Claude Shelton in Alabama. From the age of two years old to the age of eight years old, Robert was sexually, mentally and physically abused by his biological father who was arrested when Robert was eight years old. Robert was sent to live with his mother who was Dawn Marie McMurrer and adopted step father who was David Lawrence McMurrer in Indianapolis, IN. After he moved that is when they changed his name to Robert Lawrence McMurrer. He was an outcast at school and had several jobs. Starting as a busser at a place called MCL Cafeteria for a year then he was a seventeen years old warehouse worker at a juice company called Pure Beverage Company for a year but, his job at Blockbuster Videos in Indianapolis, IN is where he fell in love with the movies and wanted to become an actor. Robert was part of the class of 2000 and because everyone was making a deal about the class of 2000 his school was able to get a music artist to preform at that school. The music artist they got was Vitamin C who is now known as Colleen Ann Fitzpatrick. Robert first background acting job which in the entertainment industry is also known as extra work was in Indiana on a commercial for a cell phone which he worked on with his adopted father David Lawrence McMurrer and younger half brother Brian David McMurrer. When the Dalai Lama visited Indiana in 2000, Robert went to see him with his adopted step father David Lawrence McMurrer and half brother Brian David McMurrer. Robert will never forget how he felt seeing a man who can have power over a large number of people and do so much good in the world. Robert then joined Job Corp and became a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) but, after a little over six months he felt something was missing and left Indiana. Robert spent a few years homeless on the road in Arizona and California.Robert McMurrer moved to Killeen, Texas on May of 2016 and still working on his dreams. Show less «
