Critic Reviews of "Glee - Season 2"
Matthew Gilbert Boston GlobeSeptember 21, 2010It has become a powerful, promotional machine, long on hype and short on the human feeling - the glee - that once made it so addictive.
Verne Gay NewsdaySeptember 21, 2010When Sunshine covers Beyonce's "Listen" from "Dreamgirls," you instantly realize what made "Glee" so magical in the first place.
David Hinckley New York Daily NewsSeptember 21, 2010On the positive side, it's all done with standard "Glee" fun, the tongue never far from the cheek, and it's punctuated with upbeat musical numbers.
Heather Havrilesky Salon.comSeptember 21, 2010The psychobabble, the instant-climax song arrangements, the public service announcement plotlines, the empty tear-jerking - all of that amateur-hour fumbling needs to get gone.
Nancy DeWolf Smith Wall Street JournalSeptember 21, 2010It remains nearly as delightful as it was when everything about the show seemed shiny and new.
Brian Lowry VarietySeptember 21, 2010Those involved can bask in the glow of what should be another strong year, riding a wave that has yet to fully crest -- capable of sending self-proclaimed "Gleeks" away each week with a song in their hearts and a smile on their faces.
