Critic Reviews of "Glee - Season 4"
David Hiltbrand Philadelphia InquirerSeptember 13, 2012I hate to jump the good ship lollipop, but I've officially dropped you from my DVR's series list, Glee. You wouldn't want me to mercy record you, would you?
Gail Pennington St. Louis Post-DispatchSeptember 13, 2012The pacing is brisk, and both the smiles and tears arrive on cue.
Susan Brett What CultureSeptember 13, 2012Glee returned to US screens to a split narrative, likeable new characters and an overall surprisingly watchable start to what looks to be an improved new season.
Miranda Wicker TV FanaticSeptember 13, 2012There was a whole lot of new mingled in with the old, proving that the more things change, they can also stay the same.
Matt Zoller Seitz New York Magazine/VultureSeptember 13, 2012I'm willing to live with Glee's irritants because, at their most raw and calculatedly naive, the New York scenes remind me of what it was like to be on the cusp of twenty.
Todd VanDerWerff AV ClubSeptember 13, 2012The promise of Glee always exceeded what it was capable of, but that promise - even in this episode - is rich indeed.
Robert Bianco USA TodaySeptember 13, 2012One can't help hoping that tonight's seasonal start - and substantial, re-energized reboot - represents a return to a better, saner, more story-centered show.
