mtggod6969 #1 Movies Online userWhy wouldn't the terrorists simply hold Tony hostage till his company delivered 30+ bombs to them?? Why Hold on to him and make him build a bomb he probably had zero input in building.. or very little, ya know as CEO not VP of engineering2021-03-15 03:03CoNfUsIoN Anonymoushold on a sec. At first Tony's captors spoke in Urdu, but after Tony woke up the terrorist started speaking in Egyptian Arabic-- what is going on? This whole thing is happening in Afghanistan, so why would there be an Egyptian guy involved.2020-02-03 22:02LoveYou3000 AnonymousWe will miss you Tony, we´ll always do2019-05-11 15:05stark Anonymous<30002019-05-01 15:05NotTony AnonymousIron Man we love you 30002019-04-30 06:04Anonymously AnonymousMarvel's uprising to the world2018-03-07 21:03Keywords: -

Critic Reviews of "Iron Man (2008)"
Craig Outhier Orange County RegisterJune 15, 2015Led by Downey's career-resurrecting performance as billionaire weapons peddler Tony Stark, it proves just as indispensable to the movie's giddy escapist appeal as the seamless CGI effects and eye-popping pyrotechnics.
J. R. Jones Chicago ReaderJuly 14, 2010Robert Downey Jr. gives a nicely sardonic performance as Tony Stark, a rich playboy and the brilliant heir to his father's weapons manufacturing dynasty.
Laremy Legel Film.comJuly 06, 2010There are a few scenes in Iron Man that make you realize why we rely on giant studios and big budgets come the summer months.
Tom Charity CNN.comOctober 18, 2008A supremely confident, well-tooled entertainment. It's bound to be the early pace-maker for the oncoming glut of summer blockbusters.
Calvin Wilson St. Louis Post-DispatchOctober 18, 2008Downey is at his charismatic best, rendering believable Stark's transformation from self-indulgent jerk to socially conscious crusader.
Bob Mondello NPR.orgOctober 18, 2008If every superhero franchise had a Robert Downey Jr., the genre might actually be watchable again.
Sean Axmaker Seanax.comJanuary 13, 2017It's faithful to the comic origins without being slavish, draws ideas from the entire run of the series, and stirs a self-aware sense of humor through the action while still taking the enterprise seriously.
Mike Scott Times-PicayuneJune 15, 2015His well-honed acting chops aside, a big reason the casting of Downey as Stark works so darn well is that incorrigible streak, which he somehow always has been able to balance with an irrepressible likability and which he uses to full effect here.
Clint O'Connor Cleveland Plain DealerJune 15, 2015Injecting the brilliantly bright, quick, and clever life force that is Robert Downey Jr. into the comic-book superhero realm is a masterstroke, a kick in the head to the tired franchises of the genre.
Brian D. Johnson Maclean's MagazineJune 15, 2015Downey updates the superhero prototype with a unique blend of bravado and wit.
Nicholas Barber Independent on SundayJune 15, 2015Iron Man is enjoyable, snappily scripted, unpatronising entertainment, but it can't dispel a niggling sense that it's not quite as good as you want it to be.
Craig D. Lindsey News & Observer (Raleigh, NC)June 15, 2015While Iron Man seems to be an OK comic-book flick, I wish it could've been just as sparkling as Downey's performance. But hey, it could've been worse.
