    Rel - Season 1

    Based on the life of American actor and comedian, Lil Rel Howery, the series follows the daily life of Rel, a father from the West Side of Chicago who suddenly discovers that his wife betrays him through a relationship with his barber.     Diversity in prime-time is both laudable and necessary. But when this is the end result, it's better left undone. C'mon, Fox, do better. Do much, much better than this.

    "Rel" feels like it's gone through the dreaded Network Comedy Blender rendering it "networkized," which means the setups are obvious, the payoffs conspicuous.
