Critic Reviews of "New Girl - Season 2"
Andy Greenwald GrantlandSeptember 17, 2013Catchphrases aside, Deschanel actually plays tough much better than twee.
Swati Gauri Sharma Boston GlobeMay 14, 2013This show was at once a breath of fresh air. Now, with a love triangle, a wedding finale, and a big guest appearance, it feels more of the same.
Ethan AlterOctober 01, 2013Fox's adorkable comedy New Girl returned from its first year a smarter, funnier and all-around better show.
Rob Batchelor We Got This CoveredSeptember 21, 2013Overall, "Elaine's Big Day" is a very good finale to what has been an exceptional second season of New Girl, and we should await the third season with baited breath.
Chuck BarneySeptember 25, 2012Fortified with great chemistry, the entire cast in an irresistible force, spouting goofy one-liners that put us in constant crack-up mode.
Jon Caramanica New York TimesMay 13, 2013New Girl is the rare mainstream sitcom that's exceedingly at ease in discussing race, largely because it acknowledges the characters' well-meaning, flawed views, and plays them for eye rolls and laughs.
Willa Paskin Salon.comSeptember 25, 2012I really love New Girl- with that sort of unconditional, I just like hanging around with all these crazy people affection that some TV shows inspire.
Alan Sepinwall HitFixSeptember 25, 2012These two episodes were actually among the funnier non-Dermot Mulroney Jess episodes the show's done.
Mike Hale New York TimesSeptember 25, 2012It's an ode to vulnerability and confusion, a celebration of inappropriate choices and the fine art of tiptoeing around your friends' feelings.
