When he returns with a different car, which he describes as a 'tatty old thing that needs a lot of work', it causes heated family discussions.Derek picks up an Austin 16 that 'goes like stink and has some unusual modern modifications'. But it's a 1940s car that divides opinion, and he takes the grandkids for a day out to the Yorkshire coast, with a couple of car-related stop offs en route.
