Critic Reviews of "Aquarius - Season 1"
Philadelphia InquirerMay 26, 2015We'll leave it for the experts to decide how much Aquarius fudges the truth. As drama, it's gripping, disturbing, and rewarding.
The AtlanticMay 28, 2015Every time the show looks like it might wade into ambiguous territory, it snaps back to that dull morality: Manson is a bad man, Hodiak the hero who must hunt him down. It's hard to disagree, but it's also hard to really care.
Uncle BarkyMay 28, 2015Aquarius is decently scripted for the most part while also immersing itself convincingly in the counter-culture of those times.
NewsdayMay 27, 2015How much of this is based on "fact" and how much is based on baloney? Never explained, but there appears to be enough of the latter to make a generous sandwich.
New York ObserverJune 05, 2015I just finished Aquarius and boy, is my willing suspension of disbelief tired!
OregonianMay 26, 2015It's an unusual summer season offering, sometimes unsettling, but worth checking out.
Common Sense MediaMay 26, 2015This one's worth a look, particularly for Duchovny fans or those fascinated by the Manson family.
ForbesMay 22, 2015Duchovny does a fine job of separating his role of Hodiak from some of his other, similarly structured characters.
Huffington PostMay 14, 2015The show's middling execution hobbles this plodding drama, especially when Mulder is not around.
