Take Me Home Tonight
TrailerRecent MIT grad Matt Franklin should be working for a Fortune 500 company and starting his upward climb to full-fledged yuppie-hood. Instead, the directionless 23-year-old confounds family and friends by taking a part-time job behind the counter of a video store at the Sherman Oaks Galleria. And the crises keep piling up in Matt's life. His best buddy Barry has just gotten fired from his job, his brainy sister Wendy is getting hitched to her vapid boyfriend Kyle, and the gorgeous Tori Frederking, long-time object of Matt's unattainable adoration, is suddenly back in the picture. Now, on one wild, woolly and irresponsible evening, everything is coming to a head, with explosive results.Actors: Topher Grace, Anna Faris, Dan Fogler, Teresa Palmer, Chris Pratt, Michael Biehn, Jeanie Hackett, Lucy Punch, Michelle Trachtenberg, Demetri Martin, Michael Ian Black, ...»Director: Michael DowseCountry: United StatesDuration: 114 minQuality: HDRelease: 2011IMDb: 6.30 CommentsSort By- Newest

Critic Reviews of "Take Me Home Tonight"
Time OutMay 10, 2011It's an amiable but slow slice of nostalgia: think 'Hot Tub Time Machine' meets 'Superbad' - without the big laughs.
New YorkerMarch 14, 2011This low-powered, amiable, stunningly unimportant movie is essentially one long, noisy party (set in two houses).
Arizona RepublicMarch 09, 2011"Take Me Home Tonight" is not a bad movie. In fact, it's pretty good. It's just unnecessary.
Newark Star-LedgerMarch 04, 2011It's formulaic at best - and even that formula isn't always thought through.
Detroit NewsMarch 04, 2011Drinking jokes. Sex jokes. Wild antics. Sincere looks. Nothing goes on here that hasn't gone on -- and gone on better -- in other movies.
DeadspinJune 23, 2013Just a standard, dull pseudo-teen comedy that just happens to take place in the '80s.
Tribune News ServiceJanuary 17, 2013Ten years too late -- for the movie, the actors playing the roles in the movie. It's "Hot Tub Time Machine" without the time machine or the hot tub. Or the fun.
IGN DVDJanuary 29, 2012Take Me Home Tonight is a much deeper, dramatic movie than most give it credit for. And it's also a hoot, too - largely thanks to Dan Fogler and the amusing cameo appearances.
Lessons of DarknessSeptember 12, 2011Pap in service of wistfulness about a time period now thoroughly mocked to death.
Scene-Stealers.comSeptember 09, 2011This 80s-nostalgic comedy relies too much on its big hair and bright clothes and not enough on getting inside the head of its characters.
