Piercing
TrailerIt is a very exciting story where that story tells of a man named Reid, a man who works as usual. Instead of Reid attending a bag full of clothes, he had a toothbrush and several killers before he got to work. Perhaps there will be a powerful and terrifying plan where everything is carefully planned: check into a hotel and kill an unrepentant victim. In the end, Reed wants to rid himself of his malicious motives and continues to be a good husband and father. But Reid gets more when he negotiates with Jackie, a seductive invitation girl up to his room where they seem to have a relationship.Actors: Christopher Abbott, Mia Wasikowska, Laia Costa, Will Brill, Paul Nazak, Wendell Pierce, Olivia Bond, Dakota Lustick, Maria Dizzia, Marin IrelandDirector: Nicolas PesceCountry: United StatesDuration: 81 minQuality: HDRelease: 2018IMDb: 5.50 CommentsSort By- Newest

Critic Reviews of "Piercing"
GuardianFebruary 15, 2019The dream-team pairing of Abbott and Wasikowska, two of the most interesting, subtle and risk-loving performers of their generation, is a huge compensation.
New YorkerFebruary 04, 2019For every clever twist, there's a dead giveaway; the movie's high-style décor is more alluring than the drama.
New York Magazine/VultureFebruary 01, 2019Piercing is an unnerving mix of loveliness and lunacy.
RogerEbert.comFebruary 01, 2019Piercing is an unsuccessful provocation, and I didn't get anything out of it beyond a few wispy ideas about how we may never really understand what we want from each other.
Tribune News ServiceJanuary 31, 2019What a deliciously demented and disturbing drama Nicolas Pesce's "Piercing" is, dripping with gore and laden with forbidden innuendo.
Los Angeles TimesJanuary 31, 2019Pesce deploys a potent arsenal of stylistic tools - urban landscape miniatures, plushly disquieting Lynchian interiors, flashbacks, creature effects, and florid gore - to tell the story of Reed.
The LensFebruary 26, 2019Undeniably striking from an aesthetic standpoint, but dragged down by repetitive, ultimately vacuous cat-and-mouse games.
VODzilla.coFebruary 22, 2019A darkly comic giallo-esque romance, torturously literalising all the dynamics of S&M, while accommodating the persistence of trauma.
Flickering MythFebruary 21, 2019Darkly funny, but still unapologetically grim, this plays very much like a modern version of Takashi Miike's iconic 1999 film Audition, only with a lot less of a brutal finale.
The SkinnyFebruary 20, 2019A darkly funny and consistently unsettling two-hander that explores S&M with a beguilingly light touch.
The Mail on Sunday (UK)February 18, 2019Mia Wasikowska turns up and it seems the power games have only just begun. Nasty but stylishly executed.
Sunday Times (UK)February 18, 2019Pesce presumably wants to give us an exquisite tease, but I found it a bit of a pain.
