Love, Simon
TrailerEveryone deserves a great love story, but for 17-year-old Simon Spier, it's a little more complicated. He hasn't told his family or friends that he's gay, and he doesn't know the identity of the anonymous classmate that he's fallen for online. Resolving both issues proves hilarious, terrifying and life-changing.Actors: Nick Robinson, Jennifer Garner, Josh Duhamel, Katherine Langford, Alexandra Shipp, Logan Miller, Keiynan Lonsdale, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Talitha Bateman, Tony Hale, Natasha Rothwell, ...»Director: Greg BerlantiCountry: United StatesDuration: 110 minQuality: HDRelease: 2018IMDb: 7.534 CommentsSort By- Newest

She explained then asked "why do u ask" over text. I started to panic (! at the disco) So i just typed "just curios". That happened two days ago since I'm on spring break I haven't talked two her much but I am still really unsure, although I think I'm bisexual. This movie really inspired me that no matter what sexuality I have ,bi, pan, whatever I'm still me and i always will be. Unless I get possesd then that is not me. P.S the movie was great. Love, Me2019-04-23 08:04Ivan Anonymous7th grade, Gay, and Lonely.... thats me2019-04-06 07:04Jacques AnonymousI came out 9 years ago when I was 19 and it went horrible and it took almost two years for my mom to talk properly to me. But this movie got one thing so right about my own story that I laughed outloud. When I sat my parents and sister down to finally tell them I was super nervous and began by saying that I was about to say the most difficult thing of my entire life and my mom cut me off to say "you got a girl preagnent?!" I guess movies do imitate life :D haha I am happy to inform anyone out there struggling right now that it does get better. My family is supper suportive now and they love my partner. We have a normal life just like I dreamed but thought would be impossible for me to have. I know things might seem bleak right now and your family might take two years to come around like mine or even longer but eventualy things do get better. But this movie made me realize that I don't have to hide. And it is going to help me come out. Because it really inspired me2019-01-12 10:01Everything AnonymousThis movie describes my life except that I didn't come out yet. I'm a girl and bissexual.... I don't know how to tell my family that. Critic Reviews of "Love, Simon"
New YorkerMarch 21, 2018The film is as sweet as bubble-gum-flavored medicine; it arrives as if without cinematic lineage-unburdened by cinema's history of equating gayness with death. It just stops short of producing a picture of gay attraction.
New York Magazine/VultureMarch 20, 2018It's too sanded down to ever truly snag on something like a real, specific, visceral emotion, but it's got the pop-chorus bombast that will get you to some kind of objective sense of fireworks, one way or another.
Rolling StoneMarch 16, 2018Greg Berlanti's groundbreaking gay romcom is an exuberant gift, a John Hughes movie for audiences who just got woke and the first mainstream studio release to put a closeted teen front and center.
Chicago Sun-TimesMarch 16, 2018As the romantic mystery develops, the light comedy keeps us amused.
RogerEbert.comMarch 16, 2018Love, Simon is filled with humor-in its characters, dialogue, and situations-but it doesn't sacrifice emotional depth. The two work in tandem.
ArtsHubApril 09, 2018Love, Simon is filled with love and recognition as it takes the high school rom-com template into new Hollywood territory, and it charms in the process.
Daily Mail (UK)April 09, 2018Thankfully, it's nicely made... well acted, as funny as it is gently moving, and genuinely intriguing, as we watch Simon respond to online posts by the mysterious 'Blue', who admits that he is gay but won't reveal his identity.
Sunday Times (UK)April 09, 2018The plot has a few glitches, but generally the film is funny, sweet and thoughtful.
Irish IndependentApril 09, 2018It sticks to the rules of its genre, right down to the cloying music and obligatory schmaltzy climax, and uses them to demonstrate a truth that should be obvious: all love stories are essentially the same.
Observer (UK)April 08, 2018It's highly unlikely you'll read a review of this film that doesn't contain the word "adorable". It's equally unlikely that you'll be able to watch it without grinning from ear to ear.
Empire MagazineApril 07, 2018The high school teen romcom is reborn for 2018. Funny, sentimental and smart: John Hughes would be proud.
