    Globe and Mail

Sims probably uses a setting-sun metaphor more than necessary, but otherwise his decisions are immaculate and his film should hold audiences in thrall.

    San Francisco Chronicle
    July 07, 2016

Takes a tough subject and amiably rides it out into the Outback sunset. It's a wry film that remains upbeat without betraying its rough-around-the-edges cast of characters.

    Los Angeles Times
    June 16, 2016

"Last Cab to Darwin" provides an emotionally textured look at one older gent's decision to take his waning life into his own resolute hands.

    New York Times
    June 09, 2016

Smartly directed by Jeremy Sims, this sweet-hearted film mostly manages to avoid triteness even as it casually packs an emotional punch.

    Village Voice
    June 08, 2016

A sentimental road drama that reflects the real-world effects of cancer: pain, anger, withdrawal, and isolation.

Full of sun, beer, and the restless souls found along the highway."

Jeremy Sims' Last Cab to Darwin is a formulaic but still heart-tugging road movie.

    NOW Toronto
    July 06, 2016

It's a potentially gimmicky premise, but Cribb and director Jeremy Sims refuse to condescend to it.

    Georgia Straight
    July 06, 2016

The actors never let artifice get in the way of the movie's deep well of human feeling.

    The Patriot Ledger
    July 02, 2016

Sims insists on always playing it safe, never taking chances, which ironically, is the very thing his film clumsily preaches against.
