Known to be shy, Chang is a frequent collaborator of auteur Wong Kar-Wai, as art director, costume designer, and editor. It is he who created the distinct look of Maggie Cheung in 'In the Mood for Love.' Without the myriad of vintage cheongsam worn by the actress, it is doubtful whether the film would have retained its unique air and charm. Chang is also an interior designer and is also sought after in the advertising world. He has created the look for SK II skin care products. With his prominent status comes numerous offers, from Asia and Hollywood, though he only accepts those that are not 'too big.' His work will be seen again in Wong's 'The Lady from Shanghai' in which he will be creating the wardrobe for Ms. Nicole Kidman. (Jan. 2006) Show less «
