German actor born as the son of a German civil engineer. First studied economics in Cologne, later moved to UK where he studied Drama at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute with Marianna Hill. After graduation he secured his first acting role as Matthias Ruppert in a British BBC TV series 999 (1992). The series was filmed in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Wil plays a young German doctor who traveled to Canada with his girl friend, played by actress Britta Gartner to go on an adventure trip in the Rocky Mountains.Wil played alongside Damian Lewis, Tom Hanks as a German Officer in the multi award winning HBO series Band of Brothers (2001) directed by David Frankel, Tom Hanks, produced by Steven Spielberg. After a meeting in a hotel in Berlin with Kevin Spacey Wil was offered the role of Steven, the bodyguard of Bobby Darin in Beyond the Sea (2004). As a voice artist Wil worked for the film adaption of War Horse (2011) by Steven Spielberg. In 2015 Wil started working with Hollywood coach Ivana Chubbuck. Show less «
