Steven Richter is an American writer and director. He is also the founder and director of the Academia Internacional de Cinema, the largest film school in Brazil, with locations in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. He has directed the feature films Center of Gravity (2011), a Portuguese language film set in Sao Paulo, Brazil, premiered at The Sao Paulo International Film Festival and made its european premiere at the Raindance Film Festival in London. It is currently being distributed world wide by Elo Company and has been acquired in Latin America by MGM, The Sundance Channel, A&E, and Film Arts. His latest feature Birds of Neptune (2015), set in Portland, Oregon, premiered at the 21st Slamdance Film Festival and is being distributed by Brinkvision(US) and Elo Company(International).
