Sonia was born and raised in a small town in the suburbs of NY. Her middle school would take trips into the city to see shows and Sonia immediately fell in love with Broadway! After that she performed in many musical theatre productions in her hometown and worked professionally in NYC, at The Grand Ole Opry House and also aboard Disney Cruise Line. When she was back on land again, Sonia has also worked as an On Camera Host as well as appearing in TV and Movies in the city. When Regis and Kelly had their co-host search while Kelly was on maternity leave, Sonia got up at 6am and stood in line till 6pm confident they would pick her. When Sonia got inside she wowed them with her quick wit and smile. A week later Sonia gets the call... she made it to the top 10 out of thousands and thousands of applicants! She eventually finished in 6th place and had a blast! Sonia then got discovered at a casting but for wait for it... her feet! Sonia then was booking jobs as a shoe model. A girls dream getting paid to try on shoes! She worked in NYC and Vegas doing shoe shows for DKNY, Vince Camuto, Jessica Simpson and Chinese Laundry. After moving out to LA she immediately booked work interviewing on many red carpets like the Hollyshorts Film Festival and AFI. She was also chosen as the host of The Showbiz Expo. She continued to also appear on stage and screen. Sonia booked the lead role of Alice in Alice Through The Looking Glass in Santa Monica. She also got to star in a web series called 16 and Awesome where she gets to show off her comedy skills from yrs of improvisation and sketch shows in NYC and LA. Last yr Sonia got to be apart of a wonderful documentary called Stilts and Spokes which premiered at The Reel Abilities Film Festival in Manhattan where there wasn't a dry eye in the room. She loved getting to run her own Q and A having worked as producer on the film. Besides performing Sonia has worked in casting and assisted in casting A Horse From Heaven which is due out this summer and also the TV show You Will See which she also had a part in as Alicia. Sonia has also helped judge many IMTA competitions in NY and LA. She also enjoys volunteering her time coaching kids in acting at her church and at various acting academy's. Show less «
