She loves to act, dance, write, rap, and collaborate with others to make art that makes a difference. I have always loved hip-hop, and drooled over rappers dancing, acting, and poetry, but it never occurred to me that I could ever do it. When I worked with the kids in prison it made me fall in love with the hip-hop art form even more, but also made me feel further from being able to do it myself because I respected these kids, and their lives/culture so much and I came from a very different culture.
