Born in Dublin, Sean Power moved to Canada as a youngster and was acting in his high school in Toronto before becoming one of the youngest candidates to be accepted by the National Theater School of Canada. Six months after graduating he was on stage at the Stratford Ontario Shakespeare season and consequently appeared in numerous theatrical productions around Canada. Moving to New York he won acclaim for his work with the La Mama Theater Company and then returned to Ireland for some years,appearing in the soap opera 'Fair City' and again garnering positive reviews for his stage work. In 2005 he settled in London and in early 2006 took over the lead role from Woody Harrelson in the West End revival of 'Night of the Iguana'. And yet,for all his illustrious career on stage throughout the world,to the bulk of British television audiences he is Marty,the patient co-writer in the hit sitcom 'Lead Balloon'. Show less «
