Scottish-born, Los Angeles-based Ross King is one of Britain's most vibrant and versatile performers. An award-winning stage, screen and radio performer, he made his theatrical debut at the tender age of 5, his first radio broadcast at 15 and his first TV appearance at 17.During his five year stint as the Entertainment Correspondent for KTLA's prime-time news, he won four News Emmys and a Golden Mic Award. He can be seen daily in the UK and Europe as a Los Angeles Correspondent for both ITV's Good Morning Britain (2014) and the Lorraine Kelly show, Lorraine (2001). In Australia, Ross regularly appears on Channel 9 News and A Current Affair (1971). Additionally, he frequently hosts awards shows and events such as VH1's Critics Choice Movie Awards and the nationally broadcast Hollywood Christmas Parade. Ross is also the voice of American Express in the UK...but sadly he can't pay off your balance. His prolific national television career began when Ross was chosen from over 3600 hopefuls to host ITV's _"Young Krypton" (1988-1989)_. Since then he has hosted nearly 30 television series for BBC, ITV and SKY. He also anchored BBC's _"Pebble Mill" (1972-1996)_, a live, daily entertainment show. During his five years on Pebble Mill he traveled across the globe to cover events such as the Academy Awards and the Cannes Film Festival. King's relaxed and informal interview style has garnered him interviews with some of the biggest names in Hollywood and beyond including Brad Pitt, Clint Eastwood, Johnny Depp, Halle Berry, Jennifer Aniston, Justin Bieber, every James Bond and even former Prime Minister Tony Blair. His extensive work earned him a Recognition Award from The Variety Club of Great Britain. He has also reported from The Grammys, The Tonys, The Emmys and of course The Academy Awards. Also an accomplished actor, King's film credits include Maleficent (2014) , The Day After Tomorrow (2004) , and Half Past Dead (2002) among many others. His numerous UK musical and stage credits include a leading role in the West End production of Summer Holiday as well as the Olivier Award-nominated production of Dick Whittington, directed by Gillian Lynne (Phantom of the Opera). King is also known for his critically acclaimed portrayal of "Frank-n-Furter" in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Ross became Britain's youngest-ever daytime host on Scotland's Radio Clyde and has since gone on to host The Euro Chart for the UK as well as multiple shows on Capital Radio and BBC's National Radio 5. For his work in the medium, King has won two prestigious Sony Awards among many others. He was also able to accomplish a lifetime goal when he co-hosted the American Weekly Top 40 Countdown with legendary DJ, Rick Dees. His radio show The King in LA is currently syndicated across the UK.In 2015, King's debut novel Taking Hollywood, published by Pan Macmillan, became a best seller, reaching #4 on the Amazon Best Seller's chart.
