Ronald M. Ruiz Jr.

Ronald Ruiz Jr. was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 31st, 1977. He grew up on the only portion of New Orleans that is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River called Algiers Point. Upon graduation from High School (O. Perry Walker) Ronald Ruiz Jr. quickly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps graduating from Boot Camp in San Diego in 1995. While in the Marine Corps Ronald Ruiz Jr. was stationed in Camp Pendleton, California, Little Creek, Virginia, Kanaohe Bay, Hawaii and Belle Chasse, Louisiana. After the Marine Corps Ronald Ruiz joined the New Orleans Police Department spending the majority of his career as a Homicide Investigator and Detective Sergeant, until a back injury occurred in 2011 which ultimately had him retire with a disability.
