Born and raised in the west end of Louisville, Kentucky, Rodney Cox attended Iroquois High School and served out a contract with active duty service with the United States Marine Corp and the United States Army Reserves with an Honorable Discharge. He has since enjoyed a tremendous amount of notoriety as a working actor and model throughout the Midwest in the ever so changing world of television and film. While actively working to support his family and gain more experience in film and television he also took the time to obtain a degree in Business Management.In addition to acting Rodney has found writing and directing to be his true passion. Rodney wrote and directed his very own web-series "Calling Tyrone", which was recently chosen as an Official Selection to appear at the Los Angeles Web Festival. "Calling Tyrone" originated as a short film, however once he saw its potential Rodney developed it into an episodic web-series that is now in its second season of production. The second season is starting to pickup steam gaining international attention with Official Selections in the iChill Manila Film Festival (Philippines), Roma Cinema DOC & The Mediterranean Film Festivals in Italy. Not excluding it's Official Selection in the Miami Indie Film Festival 2018 and becoming a Semi-Finalist in the Los Angeles CineFest 2018.In 2014 Rodney directed and starred in his first feature film, "Hell Night: Devil's Pass" an 80's style horror-comedy. His time on set was an enjoyable learning experience, gaining knowledge and experience from the process of completing his first feature film. He is now working toward a second feature film that he will Produce, Write and Direct in 2019.When not working on set Rodney keeps his directorial skills in practice by teaching free quarterly acting classes for a group called the "Players Club", in Jeffersonville, Indiana and Louisville, Kentucky. He credits his success to the support and love of his family, incredible parents, and a strong military background. Rodney is constantly looking for ways to give back to his community and recently become an instructional assistant for Jefferson County Public Schools. Rodney Cox is prepared to make his presence known in the industry. Being number seven out of ten children, Rodney is no stranger on how to adapt and overcome.
