Robert Stevens Wayne is a two-time Suzi nominated actor, attorney, and travel writer. A native of Georgia, he began his acting career in the local theaters as a young child appearing in such roles as Winthrop Paroo in The Music Man and Louis Leonowens in The King and I and has never stopped working on stage. He received a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Georgia and studied two summers at the prestigious American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria. He went on to get a Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was the Managing Editor of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law.While balancing the demands of a busy legal career and extensive travel, he has appeared in over seventy plays, operas, and musicals throughout the southeast, most recently as Herr Schultz in Serenbe Playhouse's acclaimed production of Cabaret, the adult men in the Actor's Express Suzi-award-wining Spring Awakening, Joe Stoddard/ Prof. Willard in the New American Shakespeare Tavern's Our Town, and Ross/ Bishop How in the Georgia Ensemble Theatre's Suzi-award-wining production of The Elephant Man.An avid world traveler, he was the author of the prize-winning Venice In Context - The Independent Traveler's Guide to Venice and, Royal London In Context - The Independent Traveler's Guide to Royal London.In the 1980s, he appeared in the television series Breaking Away, with Shaun Cassidy and Jackie Earle Haley, the film The Bear (the Bear Bryant story with Gary Busey), and several local commercials before "retiring" from TV/film acting to concentrate on his legal career, travel writing, and performing on stage. In 2016, he restarted his TV/film career joining Privilege Talent Agency when he was cast in Tyler Perry's series, The Haves and Have Nots, and the film, Bigger, directed by George Gallo as he transitions from law to pursuing Atlanta-based TV, film and stage roles full-time.
