I guess I would be considered an underachiever by today's standards. I never went for the gusto of trying to become a star. I never had a publicity agent. I never really made the rounds of the Hollywood parties. I was just content to be under contract to Warner Bros. and work all the time. I didn't do anything to hype my career, but I've never had any major regrets about it. I liked the fact that I could live a normal life, that I could walk down the street or travel on a plane without being mobbed by fans. I was always working; that was good enough. Show less «
