Niko Brücher was born in Cologne/Germany. He began film training with Rainer Werner Fassbinder as a production assistant for "Lola" and "Theatre of the World". Afterwards he worked for a number of film directors including George Stefan Troller, Hellmuth Costard, Alexander Kluge, Peter Zadek and Jean-Jacques Annaud. In addition Niko Brücher worked for film distributors, studios, festivals and co-produced the film "Dandy". Niko Brücher studied film at New York University, went on to study drama coaching with John Costopoulos, film directing with Jack Garfine and script writing with Syd Field and Frank Daniels. At the end of this training period Niko Brücher went to the Film Academy of Lódz in Poland and shot his first feature film there, Wedding Guests which has been awarded many prizes. Niko Brücher wrote, directed and produced the film Marie's Song, which was nominated for the German Film Award and received the first price for best Camera Direction. Niko taught script writing at the UCLA in Los Angeles and at the Wederzijds-Theatre in Amsterdam. Niko Brücher lives in London and Cologne. Show less «
