Nicole Crisp (born in 1986) is an Australian actress. She was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia, and is the daughter of Paul, a Systems Operation Coordinator with the PTA, and Annette Crisp, a Kinesiologist. After completing an introductory screen acting course in 2010 and continuing her training in between full-time work as a Research Officer at The University of Western Australia, Nicole has been actively sourcing and attending auditions and successfully attaining roles in a variety of films, documentaries, music videos and commercials. Her first significant role was in Stuart Shepherd's film, White (2013), and was not long after cast that as lead actress in Julian Sieber's pilot for an adventure Webseries, The M.E.T.A. Initiative (2013). Since then, Nicole has worked alongside Stuart Shepherd in a couple of projects including his short film Forgotten (2014), was cast as lead actress in Tom Moore's short film Til Death (2014), has been involved in commercials and made appearances in quirky music videos for Willow Beats and Girl York. Nicole's career continues to go from strength to strength in 2015, being cast in a short film and her career highlight to date, being awarded the lead role as Loadmaster Sara McTavish in Sci-Fi Thriller Feature Film Hard Vacuum (2015).From a young age, Nicole has been extensively involved in a number of physical pursuits, including both individual (gymnastics, sports aerobics, athletics, dancing) and team (netball, softball, beach volleyball, soccer) sports. This enjoyment of physical activity led her to study Exercise and Health Science at the School of Sport Science, Exercise and Health (UWA), eventually completing her PhD in Exercise Physiology in 2012. She enjoys participating in aerial silks and Chinese Kung Fu to keep her fit, healthy and agile. With such an extensive physical background, it's perhaps not surprising that Nicole has a passion for working on projects that require physical ability to supplement acting prowess and is not afraid to 'get her hands dirty' for a role. She has completed her Basic Stage Combat Certification through the Sydney Stage Combat School in contribution to her ultimate goal of being able to perform her own stunts on action and adventure films. When she's not acting, Nicole loves watching television series and movies (particularly Sci-Fi, Romantic Comedy and Action), reading Sci-Fi fantasy books, getting dirty in her veggie garden, going for bush walks (especially at Brigadoon), researching nutrition and superfoods, and dining out with friends and family.
