Michael Joseph DiGiacinto was born in Belleville, New Jersey to Michael & Elaine DiGiacinto. His father's family is from Jersey City, NJ and his mother's family is from Brooklyn, NY. His name originates from the small farming village of Arsita, in the Abruzzo province of Italy.He attended Nutley High School in NJ where he was a member of The National Honor Society and captain of his basketball team. Mike attended The University of Maryland for his freshman year of college. Always dreaming of living in Southern California, Mike decided to transfer to San Diego State University in his sophomore year and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Acting. He was also a member of The Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity while attending SDSU.He has worked professionally in all areas of the acting community since then and has lived in both Los Angeles and New York. He's worked in four different countries, thirteen different states, and has been blessed to work alongside Academy Award / Emmy Award winning & nominated directors and actors. His films have taken him everywhere from The Cannes Film Festival, to The New York City International Film Festival, to The Beverly Hills Film Festival, to The Austin Film Festival, to The Chicago Comedy Film Festival and many more in between.Mike is a proud member of The Screen Actor's Guild, Actor's Equity Association, and The American Federation of Television & Radio Artists.He currently resides in New York. People love to ask you why you decided to become an actor. I think that they are surprised when I tell them mine. I grew up in an environment where I never felt like anyone was truly listening to each other nor was anyone confronting the truth. Acting gave me a chance to be heard, to truly listen to another human being, and to confront the truth no matter how beautiful or ugly it was. It was a kind of salvation for me. Show less «

What we dream of in this life, we become. I'm honored when people call me a dreamer and tell me that I live in a fantasy world. It's so much more interesting than the real world isn't it? What does that even mean? The real world....blah blah blah. People are so afraid to listen to that voice inside of them that exists inherently and instead, they allow themselves to become indoctrinated by society's expectations. We have the unique ability, everyday, to dream big and to achieve big. Everyone else can go live in the "real world". I'm doing just fine living in my fantasy world and making them all turn into realities. Show less «
