Mel Hinkle is an American actor known for the role of Young Big Boo in Orange is the New Black. Mel was born and raised in northern New Jersey, started her career at the age of 3 and quickly got bit by the bug. As a teenager she made the shift to put performing at top priority, and hasn't looked back since.Mel was inspired to get more involved behind the camera, so she founded the independent production company Hypokrite Films. In 2012, the company was officiated and started to take off. Hypokrite has since produced multiple works, including a comedy web series "Unrelated.", multiple music videos, and a mockumentary style feature, "Wreck". The team is always on the prowl and hungry for new content.Mel has an intense passion for creating. Along with 18+ years of acting work, she also has experience in directing, producing, writing, and editing. She is in love with what she does, and is looking excitedly towards the work ahead.
