Matthew Pye

Matthew Pye grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and has studied art all his life. He had an interest in cinema since a very young age-making small experimental films in his adolescence. Matthew also has a passion for music and at 18 was given the chance to intern at a prestigious recording studio where he'd learn the craft of sound engineering. Matt would later return to his love of cinema and attended film school where he met his collaborator, Joshua Mitton. They both decided to leave film school to pursue filmmaking full-time and would soon learn that the massive library of film history would be their greatest teacher. Show less «
