Luke Matheis

Born in Kansas City, Luke Matheis was raised with a strong Midwest upbringing. During his childhood, he participated in a wide variety of different sports and activities, but the one thing that he constantly gravitated towards was and still remains acting. Fiercely passionate about performing and creating, Luke had his first role at the age of 4 as an innkeeper for a church Christmas play (footage is, unfortunately, unavailable).Upon graduating high school, Luke attended the University of Kansas where he graduated with B.G.S. in Film and Media Studies and a minor in business. During his time there, he participated heavily (both in front of and behind the camera) in KU Filmworks and KUTV constantly creating original and goofy sketches and shorts.In 2010, he landed his first role in a feature film in the part of Ben in Affection/Affectation for which he received much acclaim for his sensitivity, which would become signature in his work. The film itself went on to receive the award for Best Ensemble Cast in a Feature Film at the 2011 Barebones International Film Festival.In 2012, the time came to journey out to the west coast. Since settling into Los Angeles, Luke has grown by leaps and bounds as an actor, studying at Joanne Baron/DW Brown Studio and Ivana Chubbuck Studio, where he continues to improve with each class.In addition to acting, Luke also dabbles in promo & runway modeling, writing, producing, directing, stand-up comedy and many other things.
