Luc ANNEST was born in 1966 and graduated from Sorbonnes St-Charles where he obtained a bachelor degree in film making studies. Shortly after finishing school he made his first short film, "Three Nights", based on Philippe Djian's novel, starring Gerard Darmon and Clovis Cornillac, two of the most notorious french actors.In 1996, he signed an exclusive contract with a Canadian production company. His initial work was frequently international commercial shoots. During this time he also finished writing his novel "Tortilla".In returning to France, his commercial work continued and he began to write the drama "Tortilla", followed by the Italian comedy "Spaghetti al Diavolo" and the urban comedy "NOLA CIRCUS".For the latter project, Luc directed the film's teaser, "The Afro".In 2009 he founded SevenDogs, a commercial production company. SevenDogs projects mainly include a campaign for perfumer "Juliette Has a Gun" and the Moroccan palace Ksar-Char-Bagh, as well as music videos, notably for the singer Lokua Kanza.In 2011 Luc founded with Arnaud Bettan a American films production firm "One Million Dollar Film". Their first film, NOLA CIRCUS, was shot in 2014 in English in New Orleans, Louisiana. Independent financing was realized by a pool of NBA and soccer athletes. It was released in September 2016 in France and April 2017 in the US. A worldwide digital release followed shortly after.In 2016 Luc obtained the rights for Philippe Djian's novel "Zone Erogene". His adaptation is slated to be filmed in the fall of 2018 in the desert of New-Mexico and New-Orleans.For Artistic Records, he is concurrently co-writing "Les Marioles", a French comedy set in the Southern French city of Marseille, known for its tough streets and multiethnic urban culture.In summer of 2017, Luc will direct the shooting of his second English language movie, "Ride and Cash", for UGC company, a road trip comedy set in South Africa.
