Lee was born in Monett, Missouri, but was quickly whisked away to all parts of the world because his father was in the United States Air Force. Some other places he lived for more than a year and thinks of fondly are: Texas, Washington, Los Angeles, Germany, Indiana, and Illinois.Lee began his career with his sister Angelique Torres. This writing duo won several screenwriting contests and awards. They were moving up in Matt Damon and Ben Affleck's original Project Greenlight with HBO but had to withdraw after Angelique was diagnosed with cancer. After Lee's sister passed away in 2003, their play "In The Company of Strangers" was performed as part of the Kennedy Center American College Regional Festival in Houston, Texas. He also directed and produced the last work they had written together, which was screened at Dallas OutTakes Film Festival - A Single Wish (2004).After losing his sister, Lee turned his focus to writing novels. Under three pseudonyms, he has published 53 novels that are still sold around the world. As Kris Cook, one of his pen names, he co-hosts Romance Out Loud, a podcast that is available on iTunes and is downloaded in over 45 countries.Lee has recently returned to his first love of filmmaking, joining with his friend writer/director Kurt E. Soderling to create Hong Kong Justice, which is in pre-production. Lee and Kurt are hard at work, creating their next action/adventure film.
