Kate Volpe is a Baltimore native who began acting in plays at an early age. As an actress and singer she starred in many musicals and dramatic plays while growing up. Kate was one of the first recipients of the Artist Scholar Award from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, a full college scholarship awarded for excellence in Theatre and academics. Kate earned her chops in the Baltimore and Washington, DC theatre community playing such roles as May in Fool for Love, Terry in Stage Door and Stella in A Streetcar Named Desire, for which she was nominated by BroadwayWorld.com for Best non-resident actress in 2011. Kate sites as one of her most cherished memories a performance at The Falcon Theatre in Burbank in which after coming offstage owner and legend Garry Marshall told her "you did a very good job, young lady".
