Kahlid Elijah Tapia is the "go to" foreign actor in Seoul, Korea.Born in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas U.S.Virgin Islands to Ricardo Emilio Tapia, a life long maintenance man, and Melanie Rabsatt-Connor, a registered nurse. Since the age of 13 Kahlid was known for numerous community plays. As a young adult, he became most recognized in his portrayal of Shoeless Joe Hardy in the musical "Damn Yankees" in which he received the Best Actor Award. He attended school at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke majoring in public relations and continued acting with roles in The Robber Bridegroom and HMS Pinafore.In 2009, he moved to Korea to teach English and was noticed and cast by a young director in his first short film Bedwetting. In 2010 he was cast in his first Korean feature film Super Monkey Returns(2011).
