Juan Carlos Saizarbitoria

Juan Carlos Saizarbitoria was born to Cuban parents in Miami Florida and a family that owned the famed Centro Vasco restaurant/nightclub. He attended Belen Jesuit Prep High school and went on to graduate from Florida State University. He then moved to Los Angeles to work with famed commercial directors Joe Public and learned life behind the camera. His first project was a documentary about the birth of hip hop in Cuba called "East of Havana". He produced it with Charlize Theron and his sister Jauretsi Saizarbitoria. He then alternated between the TV and Documentary world using his bilingual skills to direct the series Welcome to Los Vargas for Mun2 network. Sports docs are a love of his and his work on ESPN's 30 for 30 "Playing for the Mob" helped the project garner a sports Emmy. He currently resides in Manhattan Beach Ca and loves spending his time enjoying the ocean and working on restoring classic Muscle cars. Show less «
