Joyce Rivera

Joyce Rivera is an actress, writer and director.Her break in film and television came during a very critical phase in her personal life.She was so inspired by the therapeutic and introspective value of the craft. It was this and her interest in the human condition, that she began writing stories mostly based on personal experiences. This resulted in the production of her short film "Inverted", a project with very personal ties in her life. The film explores cultural lines and the impact of role reversal when a woman is faced with the decision of becoming the care taker for her father who suffers from Alzheimer.Joyce enjoys drawing, painting and spending time with her family. She is very passionate about women's rights, organ donation and bullying in the workplace. She is now writing about the detrimental effects that workplace violence can have on employees for her next short film project. Show less «
