Josie DiVincenzo was born and raised on the north side of Buffalo, NY, and was on the stage by the early age of 4. Pursuing acting all through grammar and high school, she attended SUNY Fredonia for her BA in Theater, and the University of Southern California for her MFA in Drama. Josie went on to work extensively in Los Angeles, where she was seen in many acclaimed plays, and guest-starred in over 30 prime time TV shows such as Weeds, 24, CSI:NY, CSI, Desperate Housewives, NYPD Blue, the film DareDevil and many independent films, one of which, "The Desperate" has gone on to win an unprecedented 34 awards from film festivals around the nation, including recently, the Buffalo Niagara Film Festival in 2011. Recently, she returned to her hometown of Buffalo to appear in its summer's Shakespeare in Delaware Park (2nd largest free Shakespeare festival in the country) as Lady Macbeth, and to work at the Kavinoky Theatre in Tom Stoppard's "Rock 'n' Roll", "Noises Off", "You Say Tomato, I say Shut UP" in Rochester's DCT, and the highly praised and acclaimed one-woman show "Dai (Enough!)" at the Jewish Repertory Theatre in Buffalo, NY for which she won the Artie Award (Artvoice Excellence in Theatre) for Outstanding Actress in a play, and The Best of WNY (Buffalo Spree Magazine)for Best Actress. Most recently, she was seen in the acclaimed My Name is Asher Lev at The Jewish Repertory Theatre, and Kate Keller at the Irish Classical Theatre of Buffalo, NY.
