Joseph Bayard

Joseph Lamar Bayard was born and raised in Seattle, Washington to Idell Lawrence and Ralph Bayard. Joseph has always been gravitated to the arts in some sort of way, whether it was singing, dancing or just wanting the center stage. Performing is in Joseph's blood, his mother Idell was a model as a child growing up in New York's (Sugar Hill area of Harlem) His Maternal Grandmother Thelma (Cordero) Lawrence was an actress and performer in New York City in the 1940's, His Grandpa. Bruce Lawrence, graduated from New York's Julliard School of Music as a bass player in the 40's and was the first African American to be part of the Seattle Symphony. Although Joseph had a deep passion for performing, his first love was sports. His Dad, a former College Football Player, got Joseph involved in sports at the tender age of 4. Soccer, basketball, football, track and field, baseball, you name it, Joseph played them all. But it would be track and field where he excelled the most and would eventually help get him into college.After graduating from the University of Washington in 2003, Joseph realized that his passion for performing was still inside of him and decided to take up acting. While in Seattle, Joseph got small parts in Independent films like Movie Pizza Love and Son of Terror. He also found a love for the theater, taking on roles in original plays like The Book of Nathan and Katrina: I Too Am Worthy. In 2007 Joseph decide to take his acting career to the next level and decided to move to Hollywood, CA to pursue acting full time. Since moving to Hollywood, Joseph has gotten roles in a number of short films, features and television.Joseph has one sibling a younger brother, Andre Bayard Show less «
