Another role included voicing the character, "Warren T. Rat", who was the main villain in the 1986 Don Bluth film, An American Tail (1986). Finnegan was a friend of director/actor John Cassavetes and appeared in 5 of his movies. He also appeared in The Natural (1984), with Robert Redford, as "Sam Simpson", the manager of "Roy Hobbs".
