Jennifer-Lynn Christie is a Canadian actress. She was born on the 18th of August 1992, in Lasalle, Montreal, Quebec, to divorced parents Ginette Lavigne and Stuart Christie. She is the youngest of three children: her brothers are Christopher and Matthew Christie.Jennifer-Lynn grew up as a sporty-tomboy, confused about authority and conformity. She is very opinionated and always speaks her mind. Acting was always a part of her personality. Since Stuart, her father, was obsessed with technology, he always carried a camera on his shoulder. She naturally grew up with the love of being in front of a camera. This is why she feels at home on set. When she was 6 years old, she told her parents that she would one day become an actress. Her parents weren't very enthusiastic about the idea at first. In high school she participated in some school plays as the lead roles. At fourteen, she wanted to enroll in an acting school, but it turned out to be a fraud establishment and her mother had to fight to get her money back. Her parents, discouraged by the industry didn't agree with her being in it. They refused the idea of her enrolling in drama for college.Jennifer worked for the equivalent of 6 years in video stores during her college years as she is a huge cinephile. She studied arts and literature at the Cegep Edouard Montpetit, in Longueuil, Québec, where she had a drama class. Afterwards, she pursued some of her studies in photography at Cegep du Vieux-Montréal, Montréal, Québec.Even though she got distracted from her acting goals, with a lot going on in her life, before pursuing her studies in criminology, she decided to drop everything that wasn't authentic to her happiness and left for Kensington, London, UK for an entire month of soul searching. She met Alon Mahpud who inspired her to go after her dreams. When she got back, she quit her student job and since has only worked on photography contracts as a freelance photographer and on some TV sets and movie sets. Some of her favorite directors include: Darren Aronofsky, Lars Von Trier, Wes Anderson, David Fincher, Jean-Marc Vallée, Xavier Dolan and much more. I am working hard to succeed and it takes sacrifices. You see, the things I wish I had told my younger self. Obviously, I can't now, so I'm laying it down for the folks who need to hear it. In your life. I added YOUR for a special reason. In YOUR life, people will come and go. Inevitably. I believe that you never meet people randomly. Ever. They are there to bring you some life lessons. Sometimes, you don't see the message clear, so they stick around for longer than life had planned out for ya. Others are there for life, because they are good for your soul and personal growth. Soul wise. Whatever. But people, they go. Relationships die. It's tragic, at that moment, but it's really not. It's beautiful. We also meet toxic people for all sorts of reasons. Humble. Stay humble, always. I think we meet people because they have something to teach us and we have something to teach them. And then, the relationship dies, like every single relationship you will ever have. Friends, Family, Work, Pets, etc. Show less «
