Ingrid Walters

Born and raised in Southern California, Ingrid Walters is an accomplished actor in the realms of TV, film, commercials, and stage. She recently completed the made-for-television film Reluctant Nanny , and is getting ready to return to the stage in the West Coast production of Supernatural at the Attic Theatre in Los Angeles.As the daughter of a Captain in the Marine Corps and a high school principal, her drive and commitment was clear when she started swimming competitively at age 6. This took her to UCLA where she swam and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. During Ingrid's senior year, a friend invited her to perform in a thesis play. It was Ingrid's first experience on stage, and a turning point in her life.Appearing on stage at the Geffen Playhouse, in over forty national commercials, and getting her first major role in the film Amistad, Ingrid has hit her stride as an actor. Two years on Baywatch playing lifeguard Sheryl Whelan was a natural transition for the ten-year LA County Ocean Lifeguard as she made acting her full time career. She has played wonderful roles on: Scandal, Grey's Anatomy, Castle, and Parenthood, to name a few!Ingrid discovered that her talent in the pool transitioned nicely to the road, and she now competes with an elite racing team, The Jane's, as a top marathon runner. Placing second in this years Orange County Marathon with a blazing time of 3:00:03, she has learned to set her goals high as an actor and an athlete.
