Born in Oakland, California to highly artistic parents, Ian showed interest in film at an early age. Using Super 8 MM camera equipment he made some animations and short films before he was even in high school. Most of Ian's work was inspired by Science Fiction films, especially the b-movies of the 1950s. Ian also exhibited skills in the costume, prop & special effects areas, and would later go on to work at Lucasfilm's ILM facility in 1986. After a long break from the industry pursuing other fields, Ian has recently returned to the film industry doing freelance costume & special effects work, and resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
