Guy J. Louthan has had extensive US and international experience in feature film and TV production over almost thirty years. Over the last twenty years he has specialized in international co-productions becoming expert in the application and implementation of US and international tax incentives, subsidies and financial credit structures to help package and produce material. Guy has actively planned, developed and implemented cost effective financial and physical production plans for a large number of major international production companies including Columbia Studios, DreamWorks, NBC Universal, Sony, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, Paramount Studios, Fox Searchlight, Miramax, Dimension, New Line, Focus Features, HBO Films, Killer Films, ABC, NBC, CBS, Pearson Television, All American Television, Spike TV and many others. As an executive, from 1993 to 1997 Guy was Vice President In Charge of Production at ITC Entertainment Group, Inc. as well as V.P. Production at Gerber/ITC Inc. responsible for all ITC's television, cable and feature film production. With his considerable experience and background in VFX, Guy also oversaw all ITC's post production and visual effects as well as it's tech services division. From 1990 to 1993 Guy was "in house" producer for I.R.S. Media, where he also ran feature film and TV production overseeing the production and distribution of more than 10 feature films and 5 made for TV movies. Previous to this, Guy headed physical production for Columbia Studio's Discovery Program. Grandfathered by David Putnam, Chanticleer Films produced short films for first time directors eventually garnering four Oscar Nominations and two Oscar wins. An active member of the American Film Institute, Guy currently sits on the AFI's Third Decade Council's advisory committee where he is a member of the fund raising subcommittee. He is a member in good standing of the Directors Guild Of America, The Producers Guild Of America and The Recording Academy. As an educator and California State certified professor, in between productions, Guy teaches and lectures on film production to graduate and under-graduate students at a number of Universities and film schools. These include The AFI, The Academy Of Art University San Francisco and others. Originally from Scotland Guy splits his time between London and Los Angeles.
