Grayson Alexander Miller "Goes by Alex" (born January 19, 1993) is an American actor and writer. Born to Wayne Lee Miller and Jill Renee McCall on a small island in the British Virgin Islands, called Tortola; Both of his parents are American however. He moved to the states, in 1996, after hurricane Marilyn destroyed his families house on St Thomas. He began acting at the age of 10; participating in his communities local drama camp and being part of theatrical performances, including: Mary Poppins, Alice in wonder land, Once upon a matters and the original work of Kate M. Powers, the magic chest. However, after a few years at the drama camp, he did not want to continue with acting, but rather wanted to play baseball. He didn't get involved with acting again until his high school years. He joined a film program where he wrote, directed, starred edited and even wrote the music for his own short films. After graduating high school, he attended Florida Gulf Coast University under a Psychology degree and left acting behind him once again. After a few years in college, he then felt the need to serve his country; in 2012 he enlisted in the U.S Army as an Airborne Ranger. Sadly, he was disqualified from any further training because of an eye condition called Kerataconus. He began attending Florida Gulf Coast again; under a Business degree. During his time at FGCU, he would occasionally visited his father in Pennsylvania. One summer when he was visiting his father, he saw an ad for extras for the movie southpaw. He applied and received the role. He immediately fell in love with acting once again regardless of how small the role was. He then decided he wanted to pursue acting again. In 2015, after finishing his last semester at Florida Gulf Coast University, he moved to Pittsburgh, PA. Show less «
