Born Emmett Eugene Ryals in Lambert, Mississippi Feburary 29, 1944 (Leap year) the only child of Oakley and Mertie Mae Ryals. Father was farm machinery mechanic in the Mississippi Delta. Certainly not very wealthy. Gene joined the U.S.Army at age 17 and spent two and a half years in Germany, where he met his first wife Cristal Albrecht. They were married in June 1964. Two children from this marriage: Randall born March 3 1965 and Carol born November 9 1966. Gene is an avid fan of B Western movies. Was a close friend of legendary stuntman/actor, Jock Mahoney. Has attended every Golden Boot Award which was started by Pat Buttram and Gene Autry in 1982 to honor those who were involved in the Western Movie Industry. Gene would like to see the B Western make a comeback and hopes to be a part of that comeback. Show less «
