Eric Martinez is an actor/motivational speaker from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Over the past few years, he has become one of the most recognizable faces in the entertainment industry. Eric Martinez has had tremendous success in landing roles in several film, television, and commercial projects. His work includes roles in "Love Lies Bleeding" with Christian Slater, "Ghost of Mars" with Ice Cube, "Lockdown", "Vicious Joe", "Life in The Shadows", "Desert Rain", "The Gift", "Check Mate, You Lose", and "Oblivious". In television Eric has been seen in "Scoundrels" on ABC , "In Plain Sight" on USA Network, and on the Sci-Fi Network "The Lost Room". Most recently Eric landed a role opposite Sean Astin in the feature film "The Boys Of Abu Ghraib" and landed a featured cameo role in "Blaze You Out" starring Elizabeth Pena and Veronica Diaz-Carranza. As well as the feature films "Life Outside" featuring Ving Rhames, Tom Sizemore, Corey Feldman and "Fighting Back" featuring Terry Crews. Also recently added to the cast of "Left Turn" with Michelle Rodriquez. Outside of acting, Eric has displayed a special talent for getting involved in the entertainment industry by making Red Carpet appearances in Hollywood including the Emmy Awards, Golden Globes, MTV Awards, ALMA Awards, Billboard Awards, Latin Grammys and various Celeb Parties. His involvement also includes work with Chicago's Latino Fashion Week. There was also the highly publicized celebrity boxing match with Hip-hop Legend DMX; although the fight was canceled due to a no show on DMX's part, TMZ, MTV, BET and ESPN helped make it national news. Eric was also a keynote speaker for President Barack Obama and Senator Hilary Clinton in Washington D.C. as a part of LULAC. Along with movie and T.V. roles, Eric will have a busy year making appearances as well as guest speaking and providing motivational speeches at schools and corporate events all over the country. Eric will also be visiting New Zealand, Kenya and London for charitable projects, celebrity appearances and motivational speaking engagements. Eric is also the face of the new line Y+Z Clothing and has started his own non-profit foundation, The Dream Big Foundation beniffiting underpriviledged children and their families. Eric will be at Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square with UFC Champ Frankie Edgar for the national kick-off of "We're Kickin It" a campaign against bullying. Eric is currently being booking all over the country for speaking engagements about bullying encouraging not just children but adults to take a stand and not be afraid to say something. With Eric's unrelenting charitable work with various organizations including, We're Kickin It Against Bullying, Autism, Viva En Forma, Swann Enterprises, Fathers 4 Daughters and Sons Foundation, and U Got a Friend Foundation, he is quickly making a mark in the industry and in the state by creating opportunities and awareness for the youth of New Mexico. Eric has become a spokesperson for The Crisis Center of New Mexico to promote awareness of domestic abuse and has plans to expand his outreach and opportunities. He was recently interviewed on CNN's Local Edition HLN Network in a segment entitled "Celebrities with a Cause".
