Eric Casaburi was born in New Jersey. Eric was in a band in high school. Casaburi first developed an interest in physical fitness at age fifteen and joined a gym to surmount the grief he felt over the death of his mother. Prior to becoming active at said gym Eric worked as a floor cleaner at a local club and continued to work at several places while attending college. Following college Casaburi's passion for physical fitness inspired him to participate in bodybuilder competitions. After competing for several years Eric decided to open his own fitness chain and launched the company Retro Fitness in 1990 at the age of 23. Casaburi went on to start the frozen yogurt company Let's Yo! and worked incognito as low-level employee "Barry Gauche" at a few of his own fitness clubs on the hit reality TV series Undercover Boss (2010). You're never treated the way you were treated when you were an employee when you are the CEO. Everyone's always on guard. Everyone always wants to be doing their best. No one is going to try to let the ball drop when they're juggling when you're there. But when you go in as an undercover guy ... everybody is themselves, and you learn more. Show less «
