Dustin Brooks was born in Riverside, California and lived there with his single mother, Lisa Brooks until he was 5. She then wisely decided to move him and his little sister to Ohio to raise them closer to immediate family. The trio moved around small neighboring towns in the Ohio Valley until finally settling in Wellsville, OH when his mother got married to his step-father Bud Ceneviva.Growing up in a small industrial community that focused on sports, Dustin thrived in playing football and running track. A lackluster performing arts program and Dustin having a penchant for taking center stage left him to use the classroom - at the chagrin of his teachers - as his platform for performing and entertaining his classmates. After giving Youngstown State University a try and deciding it wasn't for him, Dustin moved around the east coast. Finally he decided to follow his dreams and moved to Los Angeles pursuing the entertainment industry. He bounced around from acting coach to acting coach and finally found the teacher he was looking for in Arthur Mendoza at the Actor's Circle Theatre.Along with receiving superb reviews in a theatre production entitled "No Love", Dustin also received a best actor nomination in "Stray" at the Hill Country Film Festival. The film, which he also produced and co-story wrote was also nominated for best short and won the Audience Choice Award. Show less «
