DOC PHINEAS KASTLE AKA Ken Kastle is a veteran of TV and Film spanning 60 years in show business. He started his career at the age of 6 as a tap dancer on the popular PINKY LEE SHOW on TV in the 1950s. He made appearances on HOWDY DOODY, ART LINKLETTER, JUNGLE JIM,SKY KING, and ANNIE OAKLEY. He was a regular performer at Disneyland dancing at the stage near kEel boat Rides and Indian dancing at the Indian village appearing with Andy Devine. With numerous appearances as a child star in theatre, stage, and Broadway by the time he was 10 years old. He trained as a tap dancer with the Theo Mason dancers from the time he was 3 years old till 17 years old he was a renounced dancer in tap, jazz, modern, ballroom, and gymnastics. He also excelled in forensics. His debate team placed first in the nation. He won the Kansas State Championship in impromptu speaking and went on win the Nation championship at the University of Michigan. As a teenager he continued as a fashion model appearing in print in Montgomery Ward, JC Penny Catalogues and numerous commercial modeling jobs for newspapers and magazines. He appeared numerous times in the San Francisco Chronicle , GQ, Italian Elle, and Details Magazines in fashion editorial and print. While as a student at U.C. Berkeley he appeared in numerous fashion runway shows for IMagins, anti man Marcus, and Macy's on Union Square. He joined the faculty as Director of Education forJohn Robert Powers School of Modeling and was one of the top male models represented worldwide by ROMAN Modeling Agency with fashions shows in Paris, Milan and London from 1970-1978. While obtaining his B.A. degree in the San Francisco Bay Area Doc wrote and scored directed and starred in 18 original theatrical productions performed at the Grace Stage in San Jose. He wrote and scored the Broadway style musical " MAGIK-REALITY " with 14 original songs , a cast of 44 which was filmed for PBS and shown on KPFK in San Francisco as one of the outstanding theatrical productions in Dan Francisco in 1972. Ken received the Drama Desk Award and also graduated Magna Cum Laude and a Presidents Scholar in the upper 1% of the upper 1% of his class academically and was listed in Whose Who in American Universities for 3 consecutive years. Ken traveled completely around the world in 1974 working directly on various Archaeological sights in Hawaii, Japan, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India, Egypt, Morocco, Greece, France, and England. He received his Ph.D. In Archaeology in from Shefferton University in England for his original work on Mohenjo Daro and Harapa and for his translation of the Vastu Vija Shastra from Sanskrit to English. Ken returned to California where he continued to teach Archaeology and appear in movies. He had walk on roles on Young and Restless, and Gunsmoke. After studying acting with Stewart Bennet ( Shakespearean) and George Ball at the Anerican Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco he appeared in Agatha Christies " The Mousetrap" as Sir Cheistooher Wren for 2 seasons. He returned to Hollywood to appear in Blade Runner, Out For Blood, Alexa, OOKid, Batman Forever, and 8MM. While in Hollywood Doc developed close friendship with Tony Curtis, Milton Berle, Bette Davis, Barbara Stanwick, Bud Yorkin, Melody Thomas, Orson Wells, Michael Jackson and Donna Summers. Tony Curtis had Doc signed to his last picture "The Incredible Adventures of the Reptile Man." Doc not only acted in the film but designed 144 costumes in production. Doc moved to Las Vegas in 2001 with Tony Curtis who asked him to be his best man in his marriage to Jill Vandenberg. In Las Vegas, Doc joined Antony Curtis Productions working on" Brittle Glory" " Billie" and " Aristotle" with Tony while still teaching Archaeology at UNLV. He joined the cast of the hit TV Show on the History Channel " PAWN STARS" as " The Professor" in 2007 and is featured in over 40 episodes as the charming, dapper Steampunk " Doc Phineas" . Doc Phineas is currently featured in 4 new movies " DEVIL IN THE DETAILS" , "QDOCUMENT" "SHADOW SQUAD" and "MEDIUM CLOSE" . He is in Pre Production as the Purple Pieman in the new movie " CAKE". He is also appearing on the Las Vegas Strip tap dancing in the Broadway show "ALICE" at the Brookkyn Bowl. He has 4 new spin off TV shows in pre development including " Sensible Chat" and " Treasure Quest" with Jonny Rees, " The Expert" and "Ghost Trains" for the Griffin TV Network. A life of a true Renaissance Man with the energy and looks of a guy in his 30s in his 60s- there is no one in the industry like DOC!
