DJ Moore went to Imhotep Charter High School in Philadelphia, Pa. Moore where he ranked as a four-star recruit and the best wide receiver in the state of Pennsylvania by Scout.com. Moore played in 37 games in three seasons at Maryland and finished fifth in school history in receptions (146), sixth in receiving yards (2,027) and fourth in touchdown receptions (17). In 2017, he earned Phil Steele All-America Second Team honors and was the Big Ten Receiver of the Year and All-Big Ten First Team selection. Moore set a Maryland record with 80 receptions on the season while accumulating 1,033 receiving yards, good for third in Maryland history. He totaled eight touchdown receptions, tying for fourth all-time in Maryland history for a single season. In 2016, Moore started all 13 games and led the team in receiving yards with 637 and receiving touchdowns with six. He averaged 15.5 yards per catch and helped Maryland advance to the 2016 Quick Lane Bowl. In 2015, he appeared in all 12 games, closing the season with 10 consecutive starts and tied for team lead with three TD receptions and ranked second in catches (25) and yards (357).
