David Ingram was born on March 27th, in Bowmanville, Ontario, to Kathryn Fay Ingram and Roger Ingram, who nurtured his artistic side from a very early age. Much of his childhood was spent at his drawing table, where he would draw and paint for hours a day. As an older child he started putting on plays for the other kids in the neighborhood, staging recreations from Star Wars, Superman and James Bond. Throughout high school David began to focus more on visual arts and was accepted into McMaster University's Fine Arts program, though a last minute change of heart had him switch into the theatre program where he ultimately graduated with Combined Honours in Theatre and Philosophy. After university David moved to Toronto and booked his first television role in the Sci-fi show Starhunter, which was soon followed by appearances in Doc, Queer As Folk, G-Spot, and Disney's Twitches. In 2005 David landed his first feature, playing the lead role of Victor Ventura in the award winning Canadian superhero fantasy Sidekick. In 2007 David relocated to Vancouver and soon landed a supporting role in the television feature Time & Again. He continued to win lead and co-starring roles in such hit series as Stargate, Supernatural, and Smallville. David got his first series regular role on the comedy Hiccups (Brent Butt's follow-up to Corner Gas) playing Taylor Rymes, the smarmy yet well intentioned literary agent. In 2010 David played a supporting role in the thriller Faces in the Crowd, a feature film by French director Julien Magnat, starring Milla Jovovich. In 2012 David wrote and co-produced his first film, Ten Thousand Steps, also playing he lead character, a heartbroken man who learns that he only has ten thousand steps left to take until he dies.
